Benoit Denizet-Lewis is a professor, journalist, and New York Times bestselling author.
He is one of the longest tenured contributing writers at New York Times Magazine, where he has authored cover stories and features about everything from severely anxious young people to overbred show dogs to iconic NFL moments to transgender conservatives in the Trump era. A 2022 New America National Fellow and 2024 NEH Public Scholar, Benoit’s work has been adapted into a feature film and featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and NPR programs including “On Point” and “Here & Now.”
He is the author of three previous books, including America Anonymous: Eight Addicts in Search of a Life and the New York Times bestseller Travels With Casey: My Journey Through our Dog-Crazy Country. His new book, You’ve Changed: The Promise and Price of Self-Transformation, comes out April 28th in the US and UK.
Benoit teaches in the Department of Writing, Literature, and Publishing at Emerson College. He divides his time between Boston and Prague.
